Family Scripture Study--With Horses

The other night we were reading scriptures as a family. As Aubrey can't read yet, I usually will read her a phrase that she then repeats. Usually she is very adamant that she have her scriptures open to the right place. That night as we read 1 Nephi 17:33, her verse went like this:

Dad: And now, do ye suppose
Aubrey: And now, do ye suppose
Dad: that the children of this land,
Aubrey: that the children of this land,
Dad: who were in the land of promise,
Aubrey: who were in the land of promise,
Dad: who were driven out by our fathers,
Aubrey: who were driven out by our fathers,
Dad: do ye suppose that they were righteous?
Aubrey: do ye suppose that they were righteous?
Dad: I say unto you, Nay.
Aubrey: I say unto you, neigh, like a horse.

Now that's hilarious! Kids say the darndest things! Keep that for the record books. The other day a teacher in the teacher's room said that one of her students had spelled pennies like (penis)and then our Principal said that one of the teacher's at her previous school had a boy raise his hand and ask "How do you spell penis?" The teacher replied, "Lets think of some other words we can spell." The boy then replied, "But I already know how to spell hap but I can't spell penis." "Oh, you mean 'hap-penis'" she replied. Thought that was funny enough to publish. Keep those funny ones coming. Eulalie

"And thus we see" that children get far more from scripture reading at a far earlier age than we ever thought they did. Maybe just not what we wanted them to. That is so funny and so entirely Aubrey. She just cracks me up. MOM

Your kids are funny, I sat here and laughed at the last two things I read. My roommates are probably trying to figure out what is so funny. Kids are the greatest.
